Brand Strategy

Messaging your whole team can repeat, from the homepage to the proposal.

Brand messaging is the set of words that explains what a business does, for whom and why it is the better choice, in a form every channel can repeat. Brand Veneer Studio writes messaging architecture, brand story and tone of voice for businesses in Nairobi and Kiambu County, inside the Signature Package from KES 280,000.

Scope

Exactly what this covers.

01

Messaging architecture and brand story

The story is the founding truth told in a form a stranger can repeat. We write it once, properly, then break it into the shapes the business needs: a one line descriptor, a boilerplate, a pitch paragraph, and the three messages that must survive any channel.

The same architecture briefs your website copy, your sales conversations and your social content, so every channel says the same thing at a different length.

02

Personality and tone of voice

Personality is how the brand behaves when nobody is directing it. We set a small number of traits with the boundary beside each, such as warm without being casual, because a trait without a boundary gives writers nothing to hold onto.

The tone of voice guide covers sentence rhythm, vocabulary to use and avoid, and worked rewrites of your own copy, so your team can apply it the same week.

03

Naming and taglines

Where a name is required, we screen candidates against positioning, pronunciation across Kenyan and export markets, domain and social availability, and obvious registry conflicts. You receive a shortlist with the reasoning and not a spreadsheet of options. Naming is quoted separately.

Taglines are written last, on purpose. A tagline written before positioning is decoration. Written after, it is the positioning statement with the working parts hidden.

How it runs

The process, week by week.

01 · Week 1

Listen

A review of your existing copy and interviews with the people who sell.

02 · Week 2

Architect

The story and messages written and tested against your buyer profile.

03 · Week 3

Voice

Personality, tone guide and rewrites of your own copy.

04 · Week 4

Apply

A handover briefing for your website, sales documents and social content.

Why it matters

Messaging is used in the company profile, the proposal and the website, which is why it sits beside them in the Signature Package and Command Package. The Command Package adds a full verbal identity and a sales narrative built on it.

Questions

Answered plainly.

Clear scope, no hidden assumptions. Open any question for the practical answer.

Messaging and tone of voice are delivered inside the Signature Package, from KES 280,000 excluding VAT, alongside positioning, identity and your first sales document. The Command Package, from KES 450,000, extends it into a full verbal identity and sales narrative.

A tone of voice guide defines how the brand sounds: its personality traits and their boundaries, sentence rhythm, vocabulary to use and avoid, and worked examples. Ours includes before and after rewrites of your own copy so the team can apply it immediately.

We write the messaging the copy is built from. The Command Package includes the sales narrative and the core website structure and direction. Full page by page copywriting is scoped separately, and is usually worth it, since most delays in a build are content delays.

Yes, where a name is required. We screen candidates against positioning, pronunciation, domain and social availability and registry conflicts, and present a shortlist with the reasoning. Naming is quoted separately from the packages.

The positioning statement is the internal decision about who you serve and why you are chosen. The tagline is the short public expression of it. We write the tagline after the position is agreed, so it carries an idea instead of decorating one.
